This new friend visited our home and table with her family last Friday. We enjoyed meeting her. She loved sharing our first summer watermelon. Anyone who loves watermelon so much should grow up to be extra sweet! Isn't she cute?
Little Rose Bush on the Prairie
I don't believe this is a wild rose. It was growing on a fence at an abandoned home site located a gravel road near Beggs Lake, Beggs, Oklahoma. Probably planted by the former resident, it is growing wild and beautiful, blooming profusely in the early summer heat.
