“Flowers open and honey bees and bumblebees visit. They spread pollen and take nectar and summer heat makes the fruit grow. It’s a circle of life.

I love the pinks best. We take a picnic lunch when we go to the park. We have a favorite table by the butterfly bushes. We eat a sandwich and take in the fresh breezes and the bird songs. The waterfall makes its splashing . There are stone steps up to the spillway and the water tumbles down over rocks and among the flowers.

Squirrels run here and there through the bushes and up tree trunks. There are gray squirrels and pretty brown ones with fluffy tails. The geese honk loudly and follow people around hoping for a handout.

Voices of children come from the playground and the kid’s garden. I hear shouting and laughter. People visit at the sale lot where you can buy an azalea bush in a pot ready to plant at home. When they pull the faded tulips you can buy the bulbs too. The houses near by are full of blossoms– azaleas and redbud and dogwood. It’s a feast for the soul.

The Honor Heights Park is behind the Veterans hospital. I think if those vets could see the flowrs they would get well. There is a pond or two with fountains, a hydrangea garden, a children’s garden, a playground, tulip and lily gardens, and a butterfly house that opens on Mother’s Day every May. The butterflies fly around in the house and sometimes land on your shirt. The children can see the crystalises before they hatch out.

Azaleas are from the Rhododendron family. They bloom in many different bright colors. Every year we go to Muskogee and see the azalea gardens White, pink, purple , red and even orange blooms line the roadways. Take along a picnic lunch or at least some lemonade. Sit and rest and take it all in. The air will do good for you.
Ecclesiastas 3:11
He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has set eternity in their heart, yet so that man will not find out the work which God has done from the beginning even to the end.
This is beautiful! I love azaleas.
