Nuthatch

A pair of nuthatches come to my bird feeders everyday.
The remind me of marching band members
with their neatly designed plumage.
Their backs are gray-blue with white faces and tummies and black hoods and streaks.
They walk head down on the bark of trees
looking for snacks of insects.
