Asian Lily

Like one of Seraphine’s visions,
Fantastical stems sprout spear-like leaves,
Like bendable sword blades.
Pale yellow buds burst awake
In sunshine and blood colors
A spray of fireworks
Springing from their centers
In wild disarray.
It may be that a flower cannot be fantasized
That could outdo God’s creative genius.
