Wool

Sheep grazing sedately in a grassy pasture
Show no signs of distress
At having been robbed of their wool.
Their missing fleeces dyed and dried
Wait for buyers in the fading sunlight
Along a cozy shelf near a window.
Do they peep out and dream,
Or sleeplessly count their sheep?
