“Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Art is beauty found.”

Flowers, flowers, flowers–– I love them. I went to see the art in bloom show at philbrook recently. All the displays were constructed with flowers and leaves. How beautiful.

I found many huge and lovely roses. Seems they were the favorite flower used. There were hydrangeas, carnations, ranunculas, and lilies.

This manikin was dressed in flowers of all sorts. She held a bouquet with butterflies and held a bird in one hand. Her hat was festooned with another bird and more flowers.

I thought this was one of the prettiest displays. Like a wdding dress with roses.

Here’s a white poppy.

Everyone stopped to smell the blooms. This woman I thought was as pretty as the flowers she admired.

Bouquets were everywhere and even outside the gardens were beginning to shine.

White roses and greenery.

The porch of the mansion is a picture of symmetry. The rockwork is art.

A big white peony caught my eye and colored parasols hung overhead were lovely in the sunlight.

The Bible says we should number our days because like a flower our life comes forth, blooms, and then withers and flees like a shadow. (Job 14) All the flowers I took photos of wilted and now they are gone. Live your days in the fear of the Lord and find beauty and happiness.
Stunning photos. And your comments are superb.
