Last Sunday afternoon Ron took me for a picnic at the Honor Heights park. We ate our lunch of Chinese stirfry at our favorite picnic table in the shade on the hill. Then we went to the butterfly house —the Papillon— to see this summer’s batch of beautiful butterflies.

Amazing little creatures from caterpillars to butterflies who shout “God made me!”as they flutter among the flowers.

Enter the Butterfly House at the fountain and near the Children’s Garden, which is planted with flowers and has whirlgigs spinning in the wind along with musical instruments for the children.

This cutie was anxious to show his find. He also pointed out that his mom had spiked his hair for him.

Isn’t that the most infectious smile?

Ron, the butterfly man, enjoying the afternoon.

I enjoyed watching the chidren explore as much as I did the butterflies! It was for them a real life experience instead of a screen time. (I congratulate their parents.) They were delighted with the way the butterflies would land on them.

A summer outing enjoyed by the whole family. They even brought along their dog who didn’t care much about the flowers or the butterflies. I didn’t get their names but I enjoyed meeting them.
God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty.
